The winter season always seems to bring congestion. Whether it’s road congestion, or nasal congestion it’s not a lot of fun to deal with. However, we love to start our congested winter mornings with a eucalyptus shower fizzy to clear the sinuses and to wake up the mind. These are also a great addition to any care package!
What You’ll Need:
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1 cup Baking Soda
Cornflower Blue LaBomb
7 mL Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Stainless Steel Bath Bomb Molds
**If you are not local, you can get all of this and more at Bramble Berry! They will ship directly to you!**
In a bowl, combine the citric acid and baking soda together and break up any clumps that are formed.
Using the cornflower blue labomb, add a few drops of color and thoroughly mix in until there are no more specks of color. Keep adding until you get your desired color.
After the color has been mixed in completely, add in 7 mL Eucalyptus Essential Oil and mix mix mix!
Since we are using so much essential oil, you may not have to add more liquid to the mixture. But, you’ll want to test it to be sure. Squeeze the powder in your fist, if it holds its shape when you open your hand you can pack it in the mold. But, if it crumbles, you’ll want to add a few sprays of witch hazel.
Using a dropper, add a few drops of cyclomethicone to the stainless steel bath bomb mold and mix it around until it has completely covered the mold. This helps the shower fizzy to release from the mold.
Tightly pack half the stainless steel mold with the shower fizzy mixture. We decided to only make half bombs this time around, if you’d like to make it a complete circular bomb, pack both halves together and smash together to adhere.
Instantly unmold the shower fizzies and set them aside to harden.
Keep in mind that because there is such a high concentration of essential oils in these fizzies, they are not meant to soak in a bath tub! Instead, set them on the floor of your shower and allow the steam to carry the scent.
For the month of November, take 15% off all essential waters!
