Shimmer Lotion

When Bramble Berry brings in new frangrance oils it’s hard to decide which product to start experimenting with first.  We thought a holiday lotion would be perfect for the fruity floral scent of Bramble Berry’s Juicy Couture Type!  This easy DIY tutorial is perfect for any last minute gifts or even to use for a subtle shimmer before you have a night on the town.  We hope you enjoy the smell and sparkle we’ve chosen, but feel free to change things up and create your own combinations 🙂

What You’ll Need:

14 oz Basic Lotion Base
2.5 mL Bramble Berry’s Juicy Couture Type Fragrance Oil
1/2 tsp. Snowflake Sparkle Mica
Lotion Bottles

Empty the basic lotion base into a small pyrex container, and heat in the microwave on 15 second bursts. Mix with a stainless steel or silicone whisk between each burst, while watching for a thinner consistency. But be sure you don’t exceed 130 degrees Fahrenheit during the heating phase.
(The preservative in this lotion starts to degrade at 176 degrees.)

Once you have reached a thinner consistency, add 2.5 mL juicy couture fragrance oil and mix in with a stainless steel or silicone whisk until the fragrance is fully incorporated.

Next you will add 1/2 tsp snowflake sparkle mica to give your skin that perfect glow and extra shimmer!

After everything is mixed in, using a funnel pour the lotion into the lotion bottles. In our case, we used one 8 oz bottle, 4 oz bottle, and a 2 oz bottle.

Let the bottles sit with the caps off until the lotion has reached room temperature. Cap and enjoy!

*After a while, there is a possibility the lotion may discolor to a slight yellow color as the fragrance oil tends to discolor.*
